StressFree Academy™

Code of Ethics.

Every StressFree Academy™ certificate holder agrees to operate with clarity, professionalism, documentation, honest communication, and respect for the limits of their training.

The Standard Certificate Holders Agree To

The purpose of this Code of Ethics is to make the StressFree Academy™ standard clear before a certificate is issued. A certificate holder must communicate responsibly, document accurately, avoid fear-based claims, stay within the scope of their training, and protect public trust.

ETHIC 01

Tell the Truth Clearly

Certificate holders must explain mold-related conditions in plain language without exaggeration, scare tactics, or misleading claims.

ETHIC 02

Document Before Declaring

Statements about work, conditions, completion, training, or status should be supported by documentation whenever possible.

ETHIC 03

Stay Inside the Scope

Certificate holders must not present training completion as a state license, medical qualification, legal authority, engineering opinion, or industrial hygiene credential.

ETHIC 04

Put Understanding Before Selling

People should understand the condition, the concern, and the next step before being asked to approve any work.

ETHIC 05

Respect the Property

Professional conduct includes clean work habits, respectful communication, responsible product use, and care for the occupied environment.

ETHIC 06

Protect Public Trust

Every certificate holder represents the standard. Misuse of the certificate, badge, title, or verification system may result in removal from active standing.

Certificate Holder Agreement

Every Certificate Holder Agrees To:

Conduct themselves in a way that strengthens confidence, reduces confusion, and reflects a documented standard of education, communication, and accountability.

Communicate honestly and professionally.
Avoid fear-based or unsupported claims.
Explain recommendations before asking for approval.
Respect the limits of training and certification.
Use documentation to support clarity and accountability.
Represent StressFree Academy™ standards with integrity.

Professional Conduct Standards

These standards define what ethical conduct should look like in the field, in communication, and in documentation.

Clarity over complexity. Use simple, direct explanations. Do not hide behind technical language to pressure or confuse a client.
Evidence over assumption. Do not make absolute claims without evidence. Distinguish clearly between visible conditions, suspected causes, recommendations, and limitations.
Documentation over memory. When records matter, they should be documented. Photos, certificates, scopes, SDS access, dates, and status matter.
Boundaries over ego. Do not claim authority you do not have. Refer medical, legal, insurance, engineering, or industrial hygiene questions to the appropriate professionals.
Professionalism over pressure. Do not use panic, urgency manipulation, shame, or intimidation to force a decision.
Consistency over improvisation. Use the same ethical standard whether speaking with homeowners, real estate professionals, property managers, commercial clients, or partners.

Misuse, Suspension & Removal

StressFree Academy™ reserves the right to suspend, revoke, deactivate, or remove any certificate record if a certificate holder misrepresents training, makes unsupported claims, violates ethical standards, uses the certificate deceptively, or harms public trust.

Misrepresentation Claiming that StressFree Academy™ training is a government license, state certification, medical qualification, or regulatory approval is prohibited.
False or misleading advertising Certificate holders may not use Academy credentials to imply authority beyond the training completed.
Unethical pressure Using training status to create fear, urgency, or unfair leverage against a customer violates the standard.
Verification removal Inactive, expired, suspended, or revoked certificates may be removed from active public verification status.
Important: StressFree Academy™ certificates document completion of StressFree-created education and standards training. They do not create a mold remediation license, state certification, government approval, medical qualification, legal opinion, insurance determination, engineering designation, or industrial hygiene credential.
